The athlete who got a shot with AI is none other than the 11-time surf league champion, Kelly Slater.

Recently on Twitter, an artist shared AI-edited pictures of the surfer. The photos are been edited in a way that it looks like Slater is surfing along with dolphins.

Gary Willmott is an artist who basically helps people over the internet to make striking websites. He also makes intriguing yet attractive artwork using artificial intelligence.

Gary recently posted a series of AI-edited pictures of Kelly Slater on Twitter. The pictures show Slater surfing alongside the dolphins. 

Along with the post, he captioned, “Messing around with AI and created some artistic impressions inspired by my favorite artists”. Further, he elaborated on the art by writing, “I asked AI to create a dream of Kelly Slater surfing Jeffreys Bay with dolphins during sunrise on matt”.

Gary even mentioned the names of the artists he got inspired by. “Andy Warhol, Leonardo da Vinci, Banksy, Pablo Picasso”, he wrote. Gary further penned his thoughts on AI. “As you can tell AI is a long way away from replacing artists”, concluded Gary.

It is not the first time that someone created Slater’s digital art. An artist named Angie Samblotte also illustrated Slater’s surfing prompt in an AI-induced image.

However, Slater is not the only one who has digital illustrations over the internet. Athletes like Michael Jordan and Novak Djokovic also have some beautiful artworks generated through AI.

Hence, the concept of Artificial Intelligence is really doing wonders in sports. Fans and sports enthusiasts even purchase AI-edited posters of their beloved sporting celebrities.

Either with the help of AI or from the lens of a camera, we love to see our favorite athletes play in their respective arenas.
