Take, for example, the relationship between iconic surfer Kelly Slater and Brazilian model Gisele Bundchen.

Kelly and Gisele briefly dated for a year in 2005 before they parted ways. Since many fans saw the potential in this relationship, they were heartbroken when it ended. Recently, Bundchen split with her athlete husband, Tom Brady. This caused waves of hope amongst fans who rooted for the pair.

In 2006, the couple parted ways. Fans were not happy, as they were optimistic about the pair. The Victoria’s Secret model soon met NFL star Tom Brady on a blind date and fell in love. She married him a few years later and the couple even had two kids. However, things took a turn for the worse, eventually.

However, it is also highly unlikely that fans’ wishful thinking would come true. This is because the surfer has already been dating his current partner, Kalani Miller, for 15 years. Whereas Gisele is currently being linked to her jiu-jitsu teacher, Joaquim Valente.
