A police spokesperson stated, “a local officer managed to disrupt the theft of a car out on patrol in an unmarked police vehicle.” Moreover, to catch the thieves, the British Transport Police assisted the local police department to make an arrest.
Interestingly, in order to catch the crooks, the police “stepped up their targeted patrols at known surf spots.” As per the policemen, the southernmost beach of Newquay viz. Fistral beach is the most vulnerable spot for thieves. In Fistral, “surfers park on the road rather than in a paid car park with CCTV cameras”.
