An experienced surfer saved a drowning family from their impending doom. The incident took place one month ago when Darren Kiwi, a surfing practitioner, was enjoying his usual day in Arataki. While aiming for a big wave, he saw a family of three struggling to get to the shore. Realizing the catastrophe, the surfer jumped to rescue them. The family would have faced a “dire situation” was it not for the surfer, who appeared like an angel to save them.

Mount Maunganui is infamous among swimmers for its randomly huge and strong waves.

Mount Maunganui, in New Zealand, witnessed this tragedy. Kiwi, 52, was on a ride when he saw a man and his two children “dumped” by the big wave. He exclaimed, “So I jumped back on my surfboard, paddled over to them and got a hold of the young girl. The father and the brother were out there as well, so managed to get a hold of them and just keep them all together actually.” Though Kiwi was able to save the daughter, the father and son were swimming along to the shore.
