Frankie grew up surfing on the South Californian coasts, and her flawless tube riding is something that she mastered. She told Surfer Magazine that she used to paddle on the waves when she was pregnant; it felt different, and it is not something that she usually does. Everything has changed since her daughter was born; she strengthened Frankie’s physical and spiritual abilities. “I’ve never loved surfing as much or have been so motivated to push myself as much as I have since I’ve had her,” Frankie expressed her emotions and motivation.
Yara makes Frankie feel more connected with herself and disentangles all the odds in Frankie’s life with push and motivation. If she goes out surfing sometimes without Yara, Frankie stays in the water rather than wasting time on the beach. As Frankie says, it makes her feel more like herself and gives her different perspectives everywhere she goes after being a mother. Frankie’s life seemed to be more fun and productive after Yara, and certainly, it was not something that she could ever do alone.

The support Frankie received from her community and family
Frankie knows most of the people at the beach since it is where she grew up. Initially, Frankie has difficulty finding help, but most of the time, when she finds someone, they agree to help her with Yara while Frankie surfs. But most important was the family support for Frankie, her husband Hugo Boserup sewed up an equal parenting style to support Frankie’s surfing career. “it’s been really equal, so we both get to keep doing what we love and keep ourselves in that way,” Frankie asserted.
