Shocking Visuals Showed Surfer Eaten Alive by Tiger Shark Once During Friend’s Rescue Attempt

Six friends did not know that surfing near Gold Coast Australia would change their lives forever. However, this is exactly what happened when a shark attacked two of these six friends. A Youtube video on the channel Final Affliction revealed all details of the deadly incident.

Shared on 31st December 2022, this video relates how the six friends went to the Kiarra beach near Gold Coast Australia. While three of the friends remained on shore, the other three friends named Norman Gervin, Gordon Doniger and Jack Brinkley went surfing in the waters.

A deadly and ruthless tiger shark attack that remains unforgettable today

This attack took place on 27th October, Wednesday, 1937 after 5 pm. According to Final Affliction, Norman Gervin, Gordon Doniger and Jack Brinkley had their boards with them and were waiting for the perfect wave to surf. Further, the video presenter related, “Norman felt a sudden tug on his leg. He cried out in horror as he realized a shark was attacking him.” At this time, Norman’s friends were standing away from him while Norman waved his arms frantically, trying to catch their eye. However, unfortunately, none of his friends at that moment realized that he was being attacked by a shark.

Further, the video presenter narrated how Gordon told Norman to surf on the wave. However, when the next wave began to peak, Gordon noticed a horrible visual. “A sea of red surrounding his screaming friend.”  Rushing to save his friend, Gordon tried to hold him from behind, kicking at the shark attacking Norman. Terrified, Gordan called for his friend Jack who was swimming less than 15 yards away and who immediately came to help.

Later, the video presenter narrated how Jack’s arrival caused the shark to change its course and attack Jack who began kicking and thrashing, trying to save himself. Helpless, Gordan watched the attack, clinging on to Norman. However, the shark’s rampage hadn’t stopped yet. After attacking Jack, the shark returned to attack Norman. The video presenter related, “Gordon felt a sharp tug as it grabbed Norman’s leg once more and began to shake him vigorously.”

Despite this, Gordon clung to Norman even though his grip loosened temporarily. However, later, Norman slipped from his fingers, falling deep into the waters. After this, Gordon and Jack swam, trying to search his body. Post this, the shark also tried to attack Gordon who miraculously managed to push it away and luckily reached the shore. Dissatisfied at losing its prey, the shark then once again went to attack Jack who yelled.

Gordon’s brother Joe leaped into the waters to save Jack and managed to reach him. The video presenter then  recounted, “Supporting him around his chest, Joe swam powerfully back towards the shore.” Though Joe managed to bring Jack successfully to the shore, unfortunately, Jack died the next day in the hospital.

Later, Norman’s human remains were discovered and a large female tiger shark responsible for the attack was captured. This was not the only deadly shark attack that has shocked the surfing community. Once a deadly white shark attacked surfing champion Mick Fanning who struggled with the shark.
