San Francisco Native Falls Prey to Deadly Shark Attack After Recent Surfing Feat

Surfing is all fun and games until all the safety measures are in consideration. However, it is very important to look out for safety if one is out surfing alone at a beach or any other isolated place. Along similar lines, one such incident has stunned the internet. Just two weeks after a missing report was filed for a swimmer, another unfortunate incident took place at Linda Mar Beach in San Francisco.

A 52-year-old man has suffered minor injuries while surfing at the Linda Mar beach. Though various conjectures have been formed about a possible shark attack, however, it is not clear yet. This accident was immediately looked out by the authorities, and they tried to get into the depth of it. The victim fortunately did not go through any major injuries, however, sustained enough to get hospitalized.

The horrifying shark attack incident of a 52-year-old man while surfing

A California man met an accident on the 13th of October 2023 while he was out surfing at a beach named Linda Mar. He met this unfortunate accident around 3:45 p.m.; he was bitten on his lower leg while he was surfing at the beach but was fortunately he reached to the safety of the shore. However, he was unaware about what bit his leg but according to the bite, it is a very possible shark attack.

According to the 11 News, the Pacifica authorities spoke about the incident, they dispatched the Pacifica police officers, North County Fire Authority, and AMR to the Linda Mar Beach on getting the report about the accident. A photo of the injury was released where two large gashes on the front of the man’s left calf.

This photo was taken by Evan Barbarick who claimed to have witness the shark attack. The victim who is still unidentified was immediately taken to the hospital by the officials. This accident took place just 14days after a man went missing near the Point Reyes National Seashore, which is on northwest of San Francisco Bay.

The further investigation about the accident 

The beaches situated around the San Francisco Bay feel like a calmer and a beautiful place until its dark side is revealed. Multiple accidents are reported in this area under this month alone. In the 52-year-old’s shark attack case, a witness said that he and his friend were surfing just next to the man who got attacked. He also said that the victim shouted, “Hey, I got bit“, and was struggling to maintain himself in the water.

After this, all of them got on their boards and got out of there. After getting back to the shore, they saw a pretty big bite around the side of his leg. According to a professor at California State University, it is a shark’s trait to bite the victim and swim away. It is still unclear about which shark bit the man, but lately, great white sharks have been observed in this area in the last three months.
