From big wave barrels to river torrents, the world of surfing has touched every type of wave pinnacle there is. However, the concept of tidal bores is still the least-explored frontier of surfing. Nonetheless, for the Florida-based surfer, Dylan Graves, paddling on the tidal bores is something he finds more thrilling and exciting than chasing waves in the regular oceanic setting. Thus, recently, while pursuing his passion for surfing on the tidal waves, Graves made 40 turns on a single wave and caught the attention of millions across the continents.
On April 1st, Graves rode a decidedly unique tidal bore in Indonesia, locally as Bono. Interestingly, at Bono, seven identical waves follow the main tidal front and hence the Indonesian wave spectacle is deemed as ‘Seven Ghosts’ around the world. Now, while chasing the waves at the tidal whelps of Indonesia, Graves caused a splash among his fandom through his commendable wave-riding spree. He shared his feats through his YouTube channel and left surfing enthusiasts thrilled.
