Along with the thrill and adrenaline rush, the surfing arena also renders a multitude of injuries to its pursuers. Though some leave pursuing their passion following the lacerations, others defy the odds to trounce the big barrels. Towering over both the waves and the performances of other surfers, this returning surfing icon is none other than Italo Ferreira.

Ferriera’s reputation precedes him. He is known for his spontaneity and explosiveness on the surfboard and has also won the Olympic gold medal in Tokyo.
