Which spot comes to mind when such a situation arises? The enormous barrels and unbroken, continuous waves, perhaps a soothing breeze just make up for the humid season.

Unable to decide, the surfer opted to jump bidding adieu to his surfboard and giving way to the massive surge. A video of his action was posted on Instagram by @surfinglatino, with the caption, “ Terrible wipeout from @jonchaconas yesterday in Pascuales(head blown emoji)”

The waves were barbaric, and there was no time for reflection or a second to correct a mistake. While many tourists assert that they test their mettle, others stick to the sound of crashing waves near the shore. The waves in Pascuales, depending on the tide, can easily reach heights of 15 to 20 feet on a good surfing day. For comparison, professional surfers in Pipeline events rides have an average wave height of 9 to 20 feet.
