Likewise, in 2018, German surfing prodigy, Sebastian Steudtner paddled the 115-ft high wave at Prai de Norte and stunned the surfing community.

37-year-old Sebastian Steudtner is one of the prominent names in the world of surfing. He is known to have broken the record in October 2020 off the coast of Praia de Norte, when he surfed through an 86-feet barrel. Following this, the surfing legend won the Guinness World Record for surfing the largest wave. Then in 2021, Steudtner’s majestic ride won the Biggest Tow Award at the 2021 Red Bull Big Wave Awards.
However, way before making it to the spotlight in 2020, the German surfer already made many heads turn his way in 2018, by paddling through a wave that measured a whopping 115 feet. It’s been 5 years since Steudtner’s incredible feat, but fans are still not over it.
A Twitter page called Oddly Terrifying shared Sebastian Steudtner’s surfing prompt from 2018. In the video, while the German champion paddled through the wave colossus, onlookers can be seen recording his commendable prompt in their cameras.
