Joao Vitor de Azeredo Chianca, better known as ‘Chumbinho,’ is a professional Brazillian surfer. Post his debut in 2022 the surfer made it to the semifinals in the first two competitions of the 2023 Hawaii season. The 22-year-old also won the title of the World Surfing Circuit on the seaside of the Portuguese stage, Peniche. Chumbinho has a strong family lineage of surfing. His elder brother Lucas Yan Chianca better known as Chumbo, is also a professional surfer.
According to the World Surf League, Chumbinho is currently in 4th rank in the men’s champion tour. The surfer often posts his surfing videos on social media, gaining huge fan reactions. Chumbinho says that Portugal’s experience was special for him when he held the trophy and secured the first position. Besides winning the competition, he was delighted to see his Brazilian and Portuguese fans supporting him.

In an interview with Surfer magazine, Chianca said that he is not a big fan of large waves. He rather likes chasing the barrels. His new surfing video on Instagram was exactly like what he desired. Chumbinho enjoyed the barrel and expressed his hilarious reaction as, “Dia de pique esconde ! Tá contigo” (Hide and seek day! Is with you).
The video was shot by Gabriel Vieira, where Chumbinho could be seen enjoying and disappearing between the hollow waves. Chumbinho rides the high waves in the video like an artist; he relishes every bit of his experience in the sea. His amusing surfing video has left the netizens stunned, and they praised his kills.

People from Portugal, Brazil, and the rest of the world endorsed Chianca for his fun video. “I love the blackboards; keep ripping! ,” said a user encouraging Chianca to surf more. Many of them were stunned to see incredible techniques, “Wowww,” “Maravilhoso” (wonderful), “o bravo tem nome” (the bravo has a name), one of his fans also showed love for Chianca by saying, “Lindo te amo” (beautiful I Love You). He also intrigued others to hop in the water, as a user expressed, “Caraca foi no dia do evento como eu queria tá de dentro da água este dia !!” Wow, it was on the day of the event; how I wanted to be in the water that day).
