Surfing is such an adventure-filled, adrenaline-pumping, activity, or sport, that people are bound to be tempted to try it once. The idea of charting tall waves at high speeds with the wind behind their back is what calls surfers again and again to the ocean, despite heavy chances of injury. In a recent clip, where several surfers were out in the water, each standing in close proximity to another, a dangerous situation surfaced leaving netizens worried about these surfers.
Brad Jacobson, a video creator, recently captured a bunch of surfers trying to balance on their surfboard every time a wave hit. There were so many people in one frame that if something ugly were to happen, things could’ve taken a turn for the worse. Jacobson could not resist making a sarcastic remark about the state of affairs at the beach.
It was a complete mess out there

Brad Jacobson took to his Instagram and wrote, “I think there’s room for more humans out there” with a shocked emoji with it. The sarcasm in his words was abundantly clear, just like the seawater in the video. Jacobson’s clip showed many more than 15-20 people in the water, all surfing in very close proximity to one another.
The video moved back and forth, and in any frame, there were at least 5-6 surfers, trying to surf the wave. While some were getting wiped out, with their boards hitting other surfers, others who were well onto the swell had to maneuver around people jumping onto the waves. In some instances, people were seen surfing over one another, and in another 4 people were hitting the same swell within few feet of each other. This was where the risk of an injury or chances of an accident were tantamount.
As a wave passed through, some surfers were seen successfully charting it. Yet right in front of them lay so many people, belly-first on their surfboards, that they could’ve collided with them.
Surfing fans give a big thumbs down to these surfers
A seemingly innocuous video could’ve easily turned into something devastating. This is exactly what the netizens worried about and said the same in the comments, rather snarkily. Here are some of them:
“No, thank you. Two things would happen to me out there, I’d either end up in jail or the hospital”, wrote someone who clearly had no intentions of being anywhere near these surfers. “Why even bother surfing here lol” wrote someone else, who found the overcrowded place opposite to what a surfing destination should be like.

“My absolute fu**ing nightmare! I’m never complaining again!” wrote someone who may have never seen something so crowded while surfing. “The anti-tourist video campaign continues”, wrote someone who clearly had his sarcastic humor by his side. “80% of why I don’t surf anymore” is just a comment from another person for whom such an overcrowded place is a big ‘No-No’

Surfing has its own charm and the waves are sometimes unimaginably spectacular, even when captured on camera, but it always needs to be approached with caution. An overcrowded place like this could spell trouble at any moment.
