“He’s Kinda Rebirthed”: Million Dollar Filmmaker, Known for His Surfing Movies, Brings Out Another Banger Featuring the OGs

The world of surfing has seen many legends. The surfing scene also has a lot of movies about it. There was a time when it wasn’t even considered a proper sport, but now it is a multimillion-dollar industry out there. Jack Coleman, who has already directed a lot of surfing movies, is back with another banger.

The filmmaker is also bringing back the OG surfer, John Peck, to narrate the story of his film.

“Yeah, he was there. I was tripping when I found out Jimi was one of his musical mentors. John was an older teenager when that was happening and he really went through the whole gamut — he experienced the hippie era and then a dark time through the ‘70s and ‘80s and now he’s kinda rebirthed. He’s just living as pure and as simple a life as possible and that’s why I’m attracted to him. That’s what I’m trying to do with my movies — keep them pure,” Coleman said.

Coleman talks about the OG surfer, John Peck, in his younger days. He also mentions how American guitarist Jimi Hendrix was John’s mentor. There were a lot of ups and downs in his life, but he is just a new person now. The simple life of John attracted the filmmaker a lot, and he wanted to give him the role of the narrator.

The filmmaker is delighted just because the surfer is joining his film as a narrator. For him, it is like a dream come true. The fact that he could show the world of surfing through the voice of John Peck makes him more excited about the film’s release.
