Well, most of the world-recognized surfers only learn surfing at a young age. Kelly Slater was five when he began surfing.
A 14-year-old surfer made the headlines in January 2023 for his astounding surfing and excellent riding skills. But this time, even a younger boy allured the surfing fans with his first surfing experience. An Instagram handle, ‘The Bucket list family,’ run by a couple, is pretty famous for their world tours. The pair Jessica and Garrett Gee have traveled to 83 countries with their 3 young children. On May 30th, 2023, Jessica shared a video of his 5-year-old son Cali surfing in the backyard of their home in Hawaii. Jessica expressed her awe and stated, “Garrett is editing our next video. We couldn’t understand what Cali was saying in this video until we asked him to watch the clip and tell us.. “I’m actually riding this thing! Booyah!” Never change, young Cali. The video shows that Garrett finds a good spot for Cali to surf, and then he stays behind for Cali’s learning. But when Cali looked back, he understood that he had to hit the board by himself. Cali looked frightened for a minute, plucked up his courage, and said in pure joy, “Ok! I’m actually riding this thing”. This adorable video of young Cali surfing won the netizens’ hearts, and they were even stunned by his guts.

The video shared by Bucketlistfamily has gone viral. The video has over five million global likes, including more than 6000 comments. A surfer expressed his personal feeling after watching Cali and stated, “he needs his own YouTube channel BOOYAHH SURFER.” Another user dropped a hilarious comment saying, “Mother: “Go have some dad and son time” The dad and son time.” The producer and manager of the Bucketlistfamily, Kristy Sowin, also commented, “The “dad?” And puzzled look.” Someone said, “BOOOOYAAAA! He was so happy and so proud I can’t handle it.” A famous personality, Dr Raul Gonzalez, indicated safety and said, “Would love to see a life vest on the young surfer.”
