American surfer Bethany Hamilton became an overnight sensation after surviving a shark attack in 2003. She released her autobiography, ‘Soul Surfer: A True Story of Faith, Family, and Fighting to Get Back on the Board’, the following year and became an inspirational figure. Her recent Facebook post shows her undying dedication and love towards surfing and fans couldn’t hold back from complimenting her.
Hamilton made a call back to 2003 when she was scared for her life from the oceanic beast. But she still found it pale in comparison to her fear of never surfing again. This strong attitude towards life and love for her sport has inspired her fans all over again. Let’s find out more.

The world learned of Hamilton’s survival account in 2011
Hamilton was born in Hawaii and like many Hawaii-born surfers, she took up the activity at a very young age. After she survived the shark attack and detailed her survival account in her autobiography, it was subsequently made into a motion picture in 2011. ‘Soul Surfer’ starred AnnSophia Robb in the titular role and received mixed reviews.

However, the world learned about this brave tale of a young woman whose yearning for life surpassed the most perilous moments of her life. She has subsequently appeared in several talk shows and written numerous other books. But Surfing remains her true and first love, which she seems will never give up on.
