“That Brought Tears to My Eyes”: 20-Year-Old Surfing Event Pioneered by Quadriplegic Surfer Sends a Wave of Compassion Through the Community

Surfing is a sport that everyone desires to enjoy, irrespective of their age, region, or category. And, with the help of some famous organizations, surfing is really feasible for everyone regardless of their physical condition. Quadriplegic people can also surf with the help of adaptive surfing which includes the help of volunteers. The 3 times World Adaptive Surfing Champion, Jesse Billauer dedicated his life to enhancing the surfing experience for people with disabilities.

His Foundation, ‘Life Rolls On,’ has a mission to expand the opportunities in adaptive sports. On September 11, 2001, he created this foundation with the inception to provide the greatest experience in adaptive surfing, fishing, and skating for the physically disabled. Recently, an American actress also joined the force and later expressed her feeling by writing a heartwarming message on social media. 

The surfing mission with Brooke Hutton

Brooke Hutton White is an American actress, famous for her appearance in ‘The Real Love Boat’ reality TV show. The actress joined the Life Rolls On campaign and met various quadriplegic surfers who are seeking help from the foundation. After seeing so much happiness provided by this eudaemonic organization, Hutton became emotional and penned a beautiful note. She stated, “I wish the world could see what I see on this day. The kindest hearts all coming together as one, with the waves of the ocean washing over everyone, fueling their souls with hope and fun memories, proving that there are no limits no matter what your situation in life is.” 

She was thrilled to see how people have turned their traumas into useful purposes. She admired every single surfer out there and also thanked Jesse for creating such a noble organization. She emphasizes the positive spirit on the beach, and how every single person is trying to help out the others. Her acknowledgment of the noble cause made her fans emotional, and she garnered various lovely messages on the post.
