There is no doubt that encountering sharks while surfing can be a dangerous proposition. However, not all oceanic head-to-heads need to be in the terrifying category. Some of them can be wholesome and serotonin-inducing as well. Encountering some harmless and playful dolphins, for example, could be a pretty unforgettable experience.

A similar experience was caught on a camera recently when several dolphins were seen riding the waves along with unsuspecting surfers. The video went viral on the internet for several reasons, the main one being the adorable surfers that crashed the human party.

A special sight while surfing

Dolphin sightings while surfing are not that novel a notion. The majestic and intelligent creatures call the ocean their home, after all. There is probably no other creature as interactive and adaptive when it comes to the confluence of sea animals with humans. The video shows a surfer cutting through a wave on his surfboard with several other wave enthusiasts around him. The most surprising thing happens then, as a dolphin pops out of the water, riding the waves as well, along with the surfer. It is seen weaving in and out of the water, navigating the sea perfectly. This is not the first time surfers have had magical encounters with dolphins.

According to Surfer magazine, a surfer had another mystical encounter with a dolphin that stunned the internet. In a video that was circulating on TikTok, an aerial shot showed one of the most eye-snatching moments ever. In the video, surfers were paddling out to the sea on their surfboards, when suddenly a dolphin executed a flawless semicircle over a surfer as it jumped out of the water and went back inside. These videos grab a lot of eyeballs, and the recent one was no stranger to the same.

Internet reacts to the viral dolphin video

The video posted by the Olympic Games Instagram handle showed a lot of people surfing in the vicinity of the same tiny area. Therefore, a viewer rightly asked the question, “Did no one see that fishy”? While the surfers actually present on the scene of this beautiful occurrence might have missed it, the audience definitely did not. One of the netizens commented, “A freaking dolphin at the end!”

However, the real highlight of the video remains the graceful dolphin.
