Days After Partnering With $4,500,000,000 Worth Giant Alongside Stephanie Gilmore, Surfing Icon Kelly Slater Proudly Flaunts His $5000 Possession

With 11 championship titles under his name, Kelly Slater can easily be considered the GOAT of surfing. And apart from becoming a household name in the surfing community, the 51-year-old has also stacked up collabs with billion-dollar companies in his career.

Recently, Slater has again collaborated with the Swiss luxury watch company Breitling. The company, worth over $4,500,000,000, has announced the collaboration on Instagram. Breitling has also collaborated with two more surfing legends and produced in total three luxurious watches inspired by the sea.

Kelly Slater collabs with Beirtling

On July 24, on Instagram, Beirtling announced a collaboration with Kelly Slater and other surfing legends with the caption “The Superocean Heritage: For When the Ocean Calls Your Name.” In the picture, Kelly is seen wearing his brand new Superocean Heritage BO1 Chronograph 44, worth over $5000. The luxurious company has also partnered up with eight-time world champion Stephanie Gilmore for a two-tone watch worth over $4,950, while Sally Fitzgibbons for an Automatic Watch 42 goes for around $5000. These watches are inspired by Bertling’s original Superocean range, released in the 1950s. The watches are available in Stainless steel and 18k gold, with a wide range of colors to choose from.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first collaboration between Keller and Breitling. In 2022 The surfer collaborated with the Swiss brand for a limited edition SuperOcean Automatic 42 Kelly Slater watch, worth $5000. The 1,000-piece edition that comes with bright orange and green rubber straps was inspired by the surfer’s late father.

The surfer’s father used to wear a bright orange watch while surfing. Slater said, “I’ve been co-creating watches with Breitling for the past few years but this one, in particular, is very personal.” Further, the combination of orange and green was Kelly’s favorite color scheme for the airbrushes on his board growing up. However, Slater hasn’t built his million-dollar net worth with only one single endorsement. Slater, over the years, has invested, built his own companies, and partnered with big brands.

51-year-old surfing legend Kelly Slater is one of the highest-paid surfers with over $25 million in net worth. Besides his career earning money, the athlete has used his entrepreneurial skills to add to his vast net worth. Kelly has signed deals with big brands, including wetsuit company Quicksilver, GoPro, and the Channel Islands a surfing board company.  The surfer has also launched a clothing brand, Outerknown, and an environmentally friendly beverage company, “Purps. In 2023, the surfer started his own sustainable footwear brand, KLLY. Slater has also invested in luxurious properties, including a $7.8 million house in Hawaii.

However, besides surfing and his own ventures, Kelly Slater has mainly collaborated with Breitling. The surfer genuinely seems to be interested in the watch collabs and also adds his personal flair to every co-collaborated watch.
