Schedule for the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics

NBCUniversal will provide comprehensive coverage of the Winter Olympics as they did for the Summer Olympics in Tokyo. This is the first time that the Winter Olympics would get great coverage. Moreover, with the pandemic forcing people to watch from their homes, the tv ratings are proving a boost for most tv broadcasters.

The coverage starts at 6.30 a.m. ET on NBC and Peacock as it will be the first time that NBCU will provide a live morning presentation of the Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony.

Followed by that event, a special edition of TODAY will air from 9.00 a.m to 11.00 a.m. ET that will include opening day ceremony reactions and interviews of different athletes. Certainly, it is a great initiative to get an in-depth look into the athletes and their preparations ahead of their signature competitions.

From there, NBCU will look at the highlights of the Opening Ceremony while looking at the peculiar stories that will unfold at the Olympics. It will air from 12.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
