On her way to Beijing, her physical challenges have not stopped her from achieving her dreams. After the competition in Norway, she seems unfazed by the challenges that lie ahead.
Paralympic cross-country skier is an inspiration
Recently, she took part in the biathlon at the World Championships and bagged the silver medal. Biathlon is a sport that comprises cross-country skiing and rifle shooting.
Following a victory, she opened up on the problems she had related to rifle shooting early on and how she adapted to it perfectly over the years. She said so, reposting a tweet about her on NBC.
“Fun fact: I can’t feel the trigger & I’m able to shoot by removing my whole hand off the riffle to advance to the next shot. Not ideal to do bc it makes you reposition between shots. My hand impairments makes an extra challenge. Proud of how I found a way to adapt in #biathlon,” she wrote.

“It wasn’t an ideal day for me. I’m feeling a lot of jet lag, but I’m just so happy to be here and be on the start line considering just hours ago it was still up in the air. I’m excited to recover and get some sleep and also continue to learn from this race and take it into the rest of the competition,” said Masters.
