The Lightning Bolt not only clinches accolades when he is on track but he also has a penchant for garnering scores when pursuing his favorite game of soccer. Along similar lines, the Lightning Bolt once again made a splash among his fandom through his goal-clinching prowess at the Soccer Aid tournament.
On 11 June 2023, The Soccer Aid took place in Old Trafford, Manchester, and hosted the match of England vs the Soccer aid World XI FC. World XI FC won the match which was led by their captain Usain Bolt, the Jamaican Track and Field Sprinter. Bolt also performed his trademark victory pose after winning the match, making it an incredible cross-sport event.

The 2023 Soccer Aid event was nothing less than a treat to watch for soccer fans, as well as film and sports fans. World-celebrities like English actor Tom Hiddleston, former One Direction singer Liam Payne, boxer Tommy Furey, and track and field star Usain Bolt got together for this charitable event. It raised over 14,619,005 pounds for UNICEF this year with the fifth consecutive win for WXI.
The first half ended with a 1-0 score when Usain Bolt scored a goal for WXI before halftime, it was his fifth appearance for World XI in the Soccer aid. And after scoring the goal, he celebrated it with former Manchester United and France National Team captain Patrice Evra posing his iconic signature pose.

Bolt also paid tribute to Marcus Rashford, the Manchester United forward who also plays in England’s national team. He celebrated the goal in Rashford’s famous style of hinting the mental health. These iconic celebration poses were recently posted by the Instagram handle of Soccer Aid. Besides Bolt’s goal, the rest of the World XI team also put their contribution to make it a 4-2 winning score.

The match details of Soccer Aid
After the WXI’s first goal, the English team came with an instant strike and equaled the score with Asa Butterfield’s magnifying goal, making it 1-1. Shortly after that, Paul Scholes scored the second goal for England, but WXI’s Robbie Keane scored two more goals for his team. After securing the lead for the team, Kem Cetinay scored one more goal, making his fifth goal and most goal in Soccer Aid. Despite the constant efforts of England, The World XI won its fifth consecutive title in Soccer Aid 2023.

Tom Hiddleston said, “I’m so honoured to be playing. I’ve been an ambassador for UNICEF UK for just over 10 years now. I’ve always been aware of Soccer Aid.” He told that he was delighted to play with such great athletes, and he has always admired this event. Soccer Aid is more than a charitable event helping children across the world to get a better future and grow up in a healthy environment. The best part is how celebrities across different fields come together to support the noble cause.
