Today’s $1 million Bahrain International Trophy was spectacularly covered overall by twenty-two networks, breaking the event’s previous record. The 2023 edition was indeed a strong edition with a highly competitive field from 5 countries and 6 winners of G1&G2 races. Nation’s Pride, a three-time Group-one winner, was in front of them chasing the increased first million dollar purse. There were two local contenders besides the overseas talents from France, Great Britain, Ireland, and the UAE.
However, among the intense competition, it is the spirit dancer, trained by Richard Fahey and owned among others by Mr. Alex Ferguson that won today’s Bahrain International Trophies Group 2 race with a significant one Million reward. It is remarkable that the team pulled off this win with their best rivals standing against them.

Over time through this journey, he reached his summit and this summer was that period when he took home three impressive victories consecutively including the famous Group Three Strensall Stakes at York. This significant win made him qualify for the contest with £500,000 up for grabs. It was an uphill task for the Spirit Dancer to succeed considering he was not a favourite and had many contenders as such. Among his challengers were Nations Pride, a Grade One winner for Charlie Appleby, Real World which was sent by Saeed bin Suroor; Israr who represented the Gosdens and Mr Points Lonsdale whose trainer happened to be Aidan O’Brien.
