The aftermath of the Kerr incident continues to gain support. Fans have supported her for what she did to the pitch invader. Moreover, Megan Rapinoe got into the act as well as she congratulated Kerr on her move.

The USWNT star wants her to get a raise for her act on the fan. Hence, Rapinoe talked in praise for the Australian soccer star.

Megan Rapinoe congratulates Kerr

The sensational soccer star acknowledged the superstar on her acts. Kerr received a yellow card for her act and Rapinoe got puzzled by that decision. Hence, she posted a story on Instagram and asked about the red card. Moreover, she advised about giving the knighthood title to Kerr for her act on the pitch invader.

She wrote in her story, “Yellow card? Sis deserves to be knighted and get a raise!”

The fan came onto the pitch as he stopped the play during the game. Moreover, he entered the pitch, took a mobile phone, wanting to take a picture with Chelsea’s captain, Magda Eriksson. The fans booed him for entering the pitch and stopping the play as Eriksson ordered him to leave the ground. On his way back, Kerr barged into him, bringing him down, to the delight of the fans. Hence, it received widespread acknowledgments for this move.

As pitch invaders are becoming a constant scene in the current soccer world, coaches and players have questioned the welfare of the players. Furthermore, Chelsea boss, Emma Hayes, gave her opinion on the matter.

“He could have waited until the end for a photograph if he really wanted one. But jokes aside, we do have to think about player safety. We’ve seen in the growth of the game there is this sense of the players being more in demand. It should serve as a reminder to us all in our stadiums and with our stewards, we’ve got to put player protection first,” said Hayes.

Thus, Kerr’s move is appreciated by most fans around the world. Whether the governing body would take any action would be one to watch out for.
