David Beckham made a trivial inquiry from Michael Jordan
Being the owner of an American soccer club means David Beckham has to spend most of his days there. And a pivotal part of moving from one place to another is finding good food. During a particular visit to Washington, David called up Jordan to ask for a nice place to eat.
Having spent his prime years as a player for the Chicago Bulls, Jordan was sure to know of a few good places to eat. And Beckham took full advantage of that. During an interview, Beckham recalled that incident.
He said, “And then I called him up, I think I was in Washington, and I said: ‘I know you’ve spent a bit of time here, I need a restaurant. Can you tell me a nice Italian restaurant?'” And Jordan told him of a great place, Beckham admitted. Interestingly, a friend of Beckham’s was present during the incident and made a keen observation.

Beckham told, “My friend was like: ‘Come on, really? Really? Usually, you call a directory for a restaurant. Now you are calling Michael Jordan'” Beckham reacted to the incident, calling it “funny.”

When Becks was a player for Manchester United, he wore the iconic jersey number 7. As he switched clubs to Real Madrid in Spain, Beckham’s jersey no. was already taken up by Raul. And David did not ask Raul to change his no. But the 23 no. jersey was available, and being a fan of Jordan, Beckham graced that jersey. He did wonders with ’23’ on his back and gave the perfect tribute to ‘His Airness.’
