The 2025 Women’s NCAA Tournament is finally here. Expect 64 teams to deliver action from March 22 to April 6 as only one will walk away as the winner in this epic basketball tournament. As the excitement continues to grow for the March Madness, everyone is taking part in the bracket challenge to predict their winning team. Interestingly, Alex Morgan is the latest to join the party. While revealing her pick, she surprisingly snubbed Angel Reese’s LSU team.

The decision came via the social media pages of the media and commerce company called Togethxr, which she founded alongside Chloe Kim, Simone Manuel, and Sue Bird. With March Madness being a hot topic around, one of the Instagram carousel posts shared the full bracket that Morgan herself predicted. The procedure was, of course, simple; having first selected the best 32 from all the 64 sides, that further made its way through the second round.

From there, all the best sides make their way into the Sweet 16 round, followed by an Elite Eight round. At last, from the final four, we get to have any one team from either side in the national championship final to get the winner. Heeding this procedure, Morgan’s final four saw USC defeat Angel Reese’s LSU in the battle of the Spokane regions.

Meanwhile, coming from Regional 2 Birmingham is South Carolina, with Ohio State representing the Regional 3 Birmingham bracket. From these two, South Carolina got the ticket to the final from Morgan. As for the final, the result concluded with USC as the winner of the NCAA tournament, who came strong over South Carolina to earn the crown.

This is quite an interesting prediction from the former US Women’s National Team forward. More than the winner, it comes to be quite surprising how she swiftly ruled out Angel Reese’s LSU side. Then again, Morgan looks quite satisfied with her draw. That’s because after the post made the Instagram, she reshared it on her story. Additionally, she added a caption by writing, “Who ya got?! 🙌🙌.”

So in short, some may agree with the former San Diego Wave star while others won’t. Speaking of which, Morgan wasn’t the only soccer legend to give her views on the March Madness.

Megan Rapinoe also snubs Angel Reese’s LSU

In the latest episode of the A Touch More podcast, co-hosts and power couple Megan Rapinoe and Sue Bird participated in the Togethxr March Madness bracket challenge. From Regional 1 Spokane, they selected UCLA, while UConn was their pick from Regional 4 Spokane. However, Rapinoe wasn’t entirely set on UConn, as she also backed USC. Yet, the former USWNT forward quickly explained why she had to remain obligated with her initial Regional 4 choice.

“I feel like in parentheses under UConn is USC because Sue, for her safety reasons, has to pick UConn,” said Rapinoe, emphasizing that bias had to come into play. Interestingly, Sue Bird chimed in to support her significant other saying, “And this is where the bias shows,” before quickly adding, “I’m cheering for my team.”

Yet, Megan remained undeterred. While she backed UConn, the former Seattle Reign star kept USC as her alternative if they advanced instead. “So we have to pick UConn, obviously, and we believe in them. But you know, if USC goes, then that feels like my pick also,” said the 2x World Cup winner.

Meanwhile, joining from Regional 2 and Regional 3 Birmingham were South Carolina and Notre Dame, respectively. As for the final, it saw UConn defeating UCLA, while South Carolina dominated Notre Dame. Between the two remaining teams, of course, their ultimate pick had to be UConn—for obvious reasons concerning Sue Bird of course!
