By winning three Olympic gold medals, Shaun White made the record for the maximum number of medals won by a snowboarder in the Olympics. Shaun White retired from the sport after his final appearance at the Winter 2022 Olympic games. This was his fifth Olympic appearance marking his 20th year in the sport as a professional.

Despite retiring from the sport, Shaun is always in the limelight. The reason for that is the love and support that he receives from his fans. After retiring, he is very active on social media. He shares important updates about his life on his social media accounts.

Shaun White replies to a fan

Shaun recently conducted a question-and-answer session on his TikTok account by replying to questions asked by fans in the comments. This session fueled the curiosity of his fans, and they asked him all sorts of questions ranging from his favorite drink to his post-retirement plans. “If they ask you to commentate, would you take the job for TV,” asked a fan. This question drew the attention of a lot of fans as they were curious to know about his plans.

“Yeah, for sure! I think I would be down,” White replied. He described how he was a part of the Post Olympic press conference where he talked about his retirement from the sport. “While I was behind the scenes at the big facility that they have for NBC, I was already asked to come back to the next Olympics, commentate, and be part of it,” he said narrating the opportunity that he was offered. He made his fans aware that he already has a Job Offer. This gave his fans a sigh of relief as they would get to hear their favorite athlete on TV once again.

 Shaun revealed how he would be good in the field of commentary since he has professionally played the sport for 20 years. “I been in the sport for so long that I can shed some great light on probably what the athletes are thinking, the conditions of the course, the mindset all that stuff,” said Shaun, describing how he would be a great asset in the commentary booth. He believed that his insight on the game would be beneficial and would be enjoyed by the audience.

Post retirement plans of White

Revealing his plans for commentary as a post-retirement career, Shaun White said, “I don’t know if it’s like a job I’m seeking out, I think it would be like a one-off here and there.” Currently, Shaun is focused on establishing his brand ‘White-Space.’ He launched his brand in early 2022 just before the Winter Olympics. The brand manufactures snowboards and believes in keeping the snowboarding culture alive.
