The American snowboarder, Chloe Kim, is a young phenomenon. Courtesy of her brilliance, Kim rose through the ranks at a very young age, having started snowboarding at 4. Despite being a wonderkid though, she could not take part in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics due to age limit issues.

Winning her first snowboarding competition at the X Games at 17, Kim started her incredible journey. Notably, like every story has humble beginnings, Kim has her story to share too. Given the nature of the sport, a snowboard is the most important piece of equipment needed. However, you won’t believe where Chloe got her first snowboard from.
Chloe Kim reveals her first snowboard
Kim’s father, Jong Jin, wanted his daughter to be a great snowboarder. Hence, they got her a snowboard through eBay. It is one of the biggest online shopping industries in the world and she got the snowboard for $25. Using this board in the early part of her career, she trained hard to hone her skills and become the perfect athlete today. However, having come so far in her career, she hasn’t forgotten her roots.

No.1 snowboarder in the world today, she now gets her boards from Burton and Roxy, who specialize in making some of the best boards available in the world. Over the year, Kim honed her craft and is now one of the best snowboarders in the sport.
Can Chloe win her second gold medal?
Kim is the youngest Olympic gold medalist in the history of snowboarding at the Olympics. She won gold at 17 and is once again the favorite to defend her title. Remarkably, even at 21 now, she is a dominant force in the half-pipe competition. With the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics just around the corner, fans expect her to put on a brilliant performance yet again and take home the ultimate prize.

Back in Sochi, she was not allowed to compete because of age restrictions. Now, she is looking to become better and win another gold medal. With all the experience in her bag, Kim is looking to win again and bring glory back to the USA.
