When White returned home from his Winter Olympic debut in 2006, winning the gold in halfpipe, he became an instant celebrity among sports enthusiasts. Moreover, the snowboarder found himself swarmed by brands to get him to sign endorsement deals with them.
Did Shaun White have an accident out of the snowboard?
Money started to pour in for the snowboarding GOAT after returning from his first Winter Games. The first two items on his shopping list included a house and a sports car. However, the three-time Olympic medalist decided to put the house on hold and skip straight to the sports car on his list.
Moreover, the car that the five-time Olympian decided to purchase was the Lamborghini, a Murciélago at that!
Before buying the beast of a car, he was driving a Lexus IS 300, which lacked the power of his new car. However, he ended up giving his old car to his sister.

With no cars to drive other than the Lamborghini, White had no choice but to commute in his new car. However, he was not accustomed to handling such a powerful engine. Therefore, he lost control and crashed his new car within a month.
What did he have to say about the incident?
Looking back, White said, “My first car was a Lexus — an IS 300. So I went from that. I ended up just giving that car to my sister, and I went from there to the Murciélago (LP640). Straight into the Lamborghini, and then straight into a tree.”
