Legendary Action Sports Media Company Partnered With Big-Wig Worth Over $5000000 for Special Snowboarding Project

“Fun’s our fate, that we share – snowboarding the whole day long, Up the lift and down again.” Snowboarding is definitely one of the most adventurous sports in the winter. It is widely practiced across America and there are ample numbers of sports enthusiasts who run across the snow resorts to enjoy their snowboarding in other seasons as well. This essence of snowboarding has been illustrated in songs, poetry, and stories and now it will be manifested in films as well. 

The Teton Gravity Research is an extreme sports media company based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It is a ski movie production that is now stepping into a new arena of sports media in the fall season. It was working on a ‘snowboarding film’ for a long time and finally finished the work. On 22nd August 2023, the production released the film trailer which is touching the sports enthusiasts’ souls. But what is so special in the film that left the audience in awe?

The TGR (Teton Gravity Research) created a film ‘Flying High Again,’ which has featured many staunch snowboarders. According to Powder Magazine, the film seems very exciting because the production has released many solid ski movies for decades, and that gives it an upper hand for creating one more. However, this is not the first time that TGR has created a snowboarding film. If you take a closer glance at the production, you can see that TGR has made several films on snowboarding to enhance its versatility of expanding the sports arena, including mountain biking, skiing, and snowboarding. 

To create this special piece, TGR connected with the founder of Standard Films and an expert snowboarding film director Mike Hatchett. Hatchett opened up with Powder Magazine about his inspiration for making Flying High Again. He stated, “The original goal was to make the best snowboard film we could and really focus on the athletes being the stars. We wanted to make a rider-based movie and let the athletes do the talking. It is a mix of freestyle and big-mountain riding.” Besides renowned director Mike Hatchett, the TGR team has featured many famous actors to give it the essence of top Hollywood films. 

The star cast of Flying High Again

The Powder Magazine reveals that the film has featured Bode Merill, John Jackson, Danny Davis, Elena Hight, Jason Robinson, Dusty Hendrickson, Antti Autti, Brandon Davis, Sean Fitzsimons, Jeremy Jones, and many more. Besides the star cast, the record-breaking winter of 2022/2023 in North America has also helped in the cinematography of the film, making it more appealing to the audience. The co-founder of TGR Steve Jones said, “We focused on melding cinematography, bold riding, and a killer soundtrack to showcase some of the world’s most renowned snowboarders in some of the wildest terrain imaginable.”

The chronicle collab of Mike Hatchett and TGR has given many hits with Emmy nominations and award-winning creations throughout the decades. They have come together once more with a special theme. Fans are already delighted after watching the trailer and now waiting for the world premiere which will be held on 12th October 2023 in Nevada.
