Retirements are difficult to cope with for athletes who have dominated the sport for a long time. Shaun White, though, is having the time of his life. He retired after winning several medals, including three Olympic gold medals.

The Beijing Winter Olympics 2022 saw the last of White performing what he loved the most as he bid goodbye. Now, he seems to be enjoying his retirement by doing some fun stuff with his girlfriend, Nina Dobrev.
White showcased his retirement activities in an Instagram story.
He gave his followers a glimpse of his holiday home. The 35-year-old was seen enjoying himself at a tiny lake that had a picturesque background. He seemed ready to go kayaking with his girlfriend. Nina, on the other hand, was dancing on top of the kayak with an oar as White laughed.
Shaun White ticked off one of his post-retirement bucket list items
After he returned from Beijing, Shaun White met his family and then attended the Super Bowl LVI game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams at the SoFi stadium in Inglewood.
He posted a collection of photos and videos with him sporting a Team USA jersey, as the Rams won the match against the Bengals. White then went onto the turf as well to get a view of the enormous stadium.

With his competitive career done and dusted, White and Nina are enjoying their time together, making the best of his retirement.

While he seems to be checking off items on his bucket list, White will have his hands full in the coming months. He will be busy with his Discovery+ documentary and will also have to focus on Whitespace, i.e. his activewear and sporting goods brand.
