The hit show ‘Cold as Balls’ hosted by comedian Kevin Hart has seen many celebrated athletes be a part of it. The show is simple. Hart holds a one-on-one conversation while slowly easing into an ice-cold bath. Legendary snowboarder Shaun White has also been on the show. He recalled his time with Tony Hawk, who put skateboarding on the map and inspired generations to take up the sport.
During a particular segment of the show, Hart tried to draw comparisons between him and Shaun. But, as has become tradition, White left the comedian hiding his face with a simple question.

Shaun White left Kevin eating dust
When Lindsey Vonn came on to his show, Kevin was left feeling embarrassed over his ‘heart’ necklace. He tried trolling Lindsey over her friendship with Dwayne Johnson. But the skier had the perfect comeback. In another episode, Hart tried drawing parallels between him and Shaun White.
Talking about signing endorsement deals at an early age, Hart said to White, that they were very much alike and shared a similar history. Kevin said he’d heard that White had sponsors signing him since the age of 7. As White explained the history behind his early signing, Kevin patiently listened before drawing a random comparison.
Hart came back to say, “We share, you know, we share similarities and some things. Yeah, cause you said you were endorsed at age 7, me too.” White’s simple two-worded question left Hart fishing for a reply. He asked, “What for?” But Hart could not come up with a reply, and after reeling for a few seconds, Hart hilariously called for a commercial break.

Shaun’s endorsement deal at 7 was also his first deal ever. In the same segment of his conversation with Kevin, White explained how it happened and how his mother played a crucial role in the deal.
White said, “My mom took me to the mountain, I was like, ‘I gotta do this thing, snowboarding.’ They rented me a board, but it was giant. And so my mom called Burton snowboards and was like ‘my son, he snowboards,’ she probably lied like ‘he kills it,’ you know.” White won a regional championship at just the age of six, and Burton Snowboards recognized the talent he possessed. When Shaun turned 7, he signed an endorsement deal with them.

Nearly 30 years later, Shaun continues to have ties with Burton snowboards, who have partnered with him to launch kids’ snowboards. He also has his own snowboard brand called ‘Whitespace.’ And as for Kevin Hart, the comedian will probably remember the moment for the next 30 years.
