Shaun White and Nina Dobrev Help in Raising Funds for Helping Ukrainian People

Fundraising forms a significant part of events that celebrities attend. The funds that are collected, are then donated to the cause. Shaun White and his girlfriend Nina Dobrev attended one such fundraiser.

On May 22, Shaun and Nina attended the Love For Peace gala event during the 75th Cannes Film Festival. Hollywood Domino organized the charity event; in partnership with PCI Media and USA for UNHCR. Its purpose was to benefit the people affected by the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

Nina Dobrev shares picture of fundraising event

Following the event, Nina posted three pics of herself on Instagram. The pictures show Nina posing at the venue of the event. The post has gathered over 560k likes on the social media platform in less than 20 hours. Furthermore, the comment section includes praises for the cause, the actress, and the power couple.

Dobrev donned a cream floor-length gown adorned with golden sequins. And although the pictures do not feature White, he did attend the event with her. The former competitive snowboarder wore an all-black outfit and a pair of shades to the event.

Nina is known for attending and working with charity events. The star has never shied away from similar events in the past.

Some well-known charities the actress associated herself with in the past are WE Charity (formerly Free The Children) and the Australian Wildlife Relief. Moreover, Dobrev was awarded the Variety Power of Youth GenerationOn Award in 2013 because of her involvement with charities.

In January, White acknowledged Nina’s passion for helping people in need in an interview. The three-time Olympic medalist revealed that the actress has “this overwhelming kindness and care for people.”

The five-time Olympian further added, “She wants to elevate the people around her. It’s such a beautiful thing, especially in today’s world. … To have that kind of a caring quality still is really special.”

Timeline of Shaun White and Dobrev’s relationship

Although White and Dobrev started dating in 2019, the couple officiated the relationship in May 2020 through an Instagram post. The A-list couple has been making the headlines ever since. However, the pair has recently begun making more frequent appearances at events. It is partly due to Shaun’s retirement from snowboarding.

With more time to spare, Shaun now spends most of his quality time with Dobrev. Previously, they attended the Top Gun: Maverick premiere in London, watched the Super Bowl, vacationed at the beaches of Costa Rica, and attended the second weekend of the 2022 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
