On September 3, Shaun White turned 37. The five-time Olympic snowboarder was spotted celebrating his birthday week with his friends and girlfriend, Nina Dobrev. White was also seen enjoying surfing and a costume birthday party during his special week. However, days after his birthday, the athlete was in a somber mood as he shared an update with his over 2 million Instagram followers.
It was a tragedy that shook the USA to the core. On September 11, 2001, in four coordinated terrorist attacks against the US, nearly 3,000 people died. 22 years later, American people still shiver at the thought of it. And Shaun White is no exception. Being an American, he also took to social media to observe the day in his own way.
