Shaun White is a retired five-time Olympian snowboarder and is known for his openness during interviews and talk programs. He is candid with his opinions. In a 2011 interview, he talked about an ailment that had flared up because of the cold.

While it is comfortable to make up reasons to avoid an unpleasant circumstance, the courageous snowboarder addressed his ailment head-on and won the battle. It is definitely a valuable lesson to learn.
Shaun White tells about something nobody knows
Shaun’s responses in interviews always feel like they are right out of his heart. He seems like a kind, simple, and open person. In an interview conducted in 2011, he talked about the lesser-known facts about him.

The question popped, “Tell us something no one knows about you.” The answer came as a shock. He replied, “I don’t really like the cold. I have asthma.” Are you dumbstruck? Of course, finding out that a world-class snowboarder dislikes the cold is startling, to say the least.
The snowboarder marvel added, “When I go up into those mountains, I can’t breathe, man.” He continued, “It’s freezing up here.” One is left wondering how he handled something so serious while maintaining a successful career in the game. Was it worthwhile to risk one’s life?

White is exceptional
Snowboarding was a recreational activity. Eventually, it entered the mainstream Olympics as a competitive game in 1994 and debuted in 1998. White said that he was born at the right time because as he grew, the sport grew too.

At high altitude and temperature below 30 degrees Fahrenheit, White raced like a horse downhill on the slopes, zooming into greatness and stardom. White holds the snowboarder world record for the most X Games gold medals and Olympic golds. However, after this revelation, Shaun White will not be recognized and valued for his records and medals alone.
