“Found My Calling”- Shaun White’s Girlfriend Nina Dobrev Hilariously Hints on Sporting Debut

Shaun White is a three-time Olympic gold medalist, and his girlfriend, Nina Dobrev, is a famous actor. But Dobrev isn’t the only one with an acting career between them. Similarly, even though Shaun White is an absolute legend in the world of snowboarding, he doesn’t command all the athleticism between the pair.

Perhaps it is time for Dobrev to make her sporting debut? Judging by her history with sports, it wouldn’t be a surprise.

Is Dobrev considering going pro?

In her most recent Instagram update, the ‘Vampire Diaries’ star, shared pictures and videos of her and Shaun White at the Formula1 Grand Prix in Monaco. In her story, she posted a video of her trying out a virtual simulation of a race with the caption “I think I found my calling.”

Unfortunately, it was quickly followed by a “Nevermind”, as she crashed the virtual car into the circuit wall. Perhaps car racing is not in the cards for Dobrev. However, it is a well-established fact that the actor enjoys doing many sports in her free time.

We have all seen that Dobrev likes to snowboard with White occasionally, and she is no stranger to water sports like swimming, windsurfing, wakeboarding, and scuba diving. But back in college, Nina was an even more versatile athlete. She was a competitive gymnast and even played varsity volleyball, soccer, baseball, basketball, and flag football at Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts in Ontario, Canada.

She even considered going to the Olympics as she trained for rhythmic and then aesthetic gymnastics. But ultimately, she transitioned to acting and left that dream behind.

Shaun White and Dobrev’s relationship

The A-list celebrity couple has been making headlines ever since they announced they were dating in May 2020. The Olympian-actor duo’s whirlwind romance quickly turned serious through the pandemic, and now the world is rooting for them.

They were living together during the pandemic. And since White’s retirement earlier this year after the Olympics, they have gone on a series of vacations together. Their words of support for each other in all their professional endeavors are heartwarming.

Dobrev stood by White during his last run at the Olympics and even threw him a retirement party after he announced that Beijing 2022 was his last competition. Recently, White was also at Dobrev’s filming set at Thessaloniki in Greece.
