The 7-time World Champion recently took to his X handle to share his reaction to his recent win. On the 21st of January, O’Sullivan and Judd Trump went against each other at the World Grand Prix final. After a see-saw battle, and O’Sullivan gaining momentum mid-way, with 10-7 it was ultimately the triumph of the 48-year-old. Following the victory, O’Sullivan wrote, “I enjoyed that tonight. It’s always a tough game against Judd, hes an exceptional player. But I did have fun tonight.”

“You have to battle against Judd because he is a warrior. For me, he is the favorite for the World Championship this year – he is strong,” O’Sullivan said following his win. As of 21st January, the duo has supposedly gone against each other for a total of 26 times. Interestingly, the tally has been split in equal between the two. The equaled battle further adds to the speculations and anticipation of Ronnie O’Sullivan and Judd Trump leading the other for the 2024 championship with outer feats.
