Everyone knows Lindsey Vonn as one of the greatest skiers in the sport’s history. She won the gold medal at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics while also setting different records for most podium victories. Hence, she prolonged her career for a long time until injury troubles hit her.
She announced her retirement in 2019 and is venturing herself into different avenues.

One such venture is her new documentary about her childhood idol, Picabo Street. She won the gold medal at the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics and is an icon for most skiers. Hence, Vonn is excited to launch her new project and shared an Instagram post.
Lindsey Vonn produces a documentary
Winning 82 World Cup races is not a simple task. She elevated her status to the top of the charts after her sensational displays in slalom and giant slalom competitions. Thus, ever since she was young, she idolized one athlete, Picabo Street. The documentary focuses on her life, her road to victories, and other unseen footage from her life. Vonn, along with Frank Marshall produced her first documentary under her production studio. The company is called Après Productions, and she is set for her debut amongst the film fraternity. Moreover, she shared an Instagram post on how excited she was to launch the documentary.
“Excited and honored to have directed and produced my first documentary on my childhood idol Picabo Street with the incredible Frank Marshall. There is so much to her story that people don’t know that is not just inspiring but also courageous. Tune in tomorrow on,” said Vonn.

The documentary would be a part of the Olympic Channel’s documentary series, “Five Rings Film”.

Along with Marshall, Vonn will hope for a great response for her first project. Marshall received five Academy Award nominations for ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark,’ ‘The Color Purple,’ ‘The Sixth Sense,’ ‘Seabiscuit’ and ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.’ These are some of the best movies out there in the world. Hence, it would be great for Street to see her life on the big screen.

With Vonn retired from the sport, she continues to surround herself with skiing. She is arguably one of the greatest athletes in the sport’s history. This new project is the start of many for Lindsey Vonn.
