In a recent social media post by the legend herself, Vonn chronicled her journey from Buck Hill to the top of the mountains. Alongside her story, she shared some words of wisdom for parents aiming to help their children achieve their goals.

In her latest Instagram post, Lindsey Vonn, the Olympic gold medalist, talks about how she has overcome multiple obstacles to get to where she is now. “I’m just a girl with a dream…From Buck Hill, Minnesota to the top of the highest mountains…“, highlights Vonn telling the tale of how anyone can make their wishes a reality. While she says she has faced many troubles along the way, she has reached the top. “I’ve been through my fair share of ups and downs but it was all worth it,” writes Vonn in her post.

While the two-time gold medalist in the World Championships talks about her mythical journey, she also has a few words of advice to parents to support them in giving their children the opportunities they need to make their lives worth talking about. The alpine skiing star said that parents need to be supportive of their children and their dreams.

“Parents, please believe in your kids. Encourage them, show them how to get back up when they fall“, says Vonn. She thinks that parents can be the rock-like support system that every child needs in their lives to give them the confidence to forge ahead despite facing difficulties.

Lindsey also said that life can’t be predicted, so the trajectories of one’s life are always a mystery and parents should give their all to make sure their children can find their path in the darkness.
