Italian alpine skier, Sofia Goggia is regarded as one of the most staunch skiing legends. Through her unquantifiable passion and determination, she framed a multitude of accolades on her wall of fame and became a household name in the world of skiing. Nevertheless, her rivalry with skiing queen Lindsey Vonn corroborated her as a fierce competitor in her own right. Though both the skiing stars posed a tough challenge to each other every time they girded up for the slaloms, they share rather a close-knit bond outside the arena. Along similar lines, the two-time Olympic medalist expressed her encomium for Lindsey Vonn for being an epitome of inspiration for many.

Lindsey Vonn, who retired from skiing in 2019, has also spoken highly of Sofia Goggia, praising her as a worthy opponent and a talented athlete. The two athletes have shown that even in the midst of competition, mutual respect and admiration can lead to a lasting friendship.
