“Not Funny”: Internet Erupts in Backlash as Influencer Takes Sporting to an Extreme

Adventure sports have always been a great source of thrill. People have been playing such sports to satisfy their adrenaline needs for centuries. However, artificially creating a hazard for a few moments of pleasure is always looked down upon. A recently uploaded video is currently making rounds on social media and has become a source of disapproval. The video displays a skier dangerously skiing through the snow. 

The video showed the skiing influencer deliberately causing avalanches. The skier then jumped in the midst of the raging snow while his crew filmed his risky escapade. However, the video has sparked a lot of backlash from the social media cult. People called out the influencer and condemned him for his antics.

Creating deliberate hazards

The video is currently making rounds on Instagram because of its risky and brazen nature. The video was uploaded by a page that usually posts some really good skiing content. However, in this particular video, users saw the influencer deliberately hitting the firm snow in weak spots and creating avalanches. Once the masses of snow were loose enough, the man jumped in and skied away from danger. The influencer recorded his hazardous act with several camera angles that also showed massive chunks of snow dismantling from their place. 

Users on Instagram expressed their disapproval of such acts. They said that this could put many lives in jeopardy and that one can never be too careful about anything. Many users also criticized him for taking such dangerous things so lightly just for a few moments of social media fame. While people who play adventure sports or risky sports also indulge in dangerous acts, their actions hardly pose a threat to others. 

Vicious act received an avalanche of backlash

Condemning the skiing influencer, one user said, “Not funny. It’s very dangerous.” Commenting on how this risks the settlements in snowy areas, one user said, “Meanwhile the news: 50 Dead due to an avalanche.” One of the users also shared the story of one of his friends who got buried in an avalanche for five days and was the only survivor.

Some people also said that such a monkey business would needlessly engage patrol forces in his rescue. “He play with his life, while others risks their lives to save him. Hope he won’t regret that,” said a user.

Some Instagram users also laughed at the skiing influencer while calling him a fool. “Man dies trying to film stupid insta post,” said a user. Many people thought of the influencer as a crazy lunatic. One user also said that such people should not be saved in case they meet an accident. “They should not be rescued. They were looking for troubles…” stated the user.
