Standing alone at the top this year, Mikaela Shiffrin mingles to the race course in her leisure time. The American alpine skier bounced back in her game smashing Ingemar Stenmark’s highest win world record while the limelight followed. The feat was fairly noteworthy as the Colorado-born nearly denied the sport of her competence after her father’s loss. She was previously captured on video by her father, who was always her biggest fan, as she glided down the hill taking on another adventure. Years later, Shiffrin is still in the practice of pushing herself to take on new challenges while filming herself.

So far the year has been quite eventful for Shiffrin chasing Stenmark’s 86 Record, just months after which she won the ESPY for best female athlete. After her stellar win, the 28-year-old is now spending her quality time at the golf course.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist posted a story on her Instagram talking about her experience. She updated, “I just hit a drive and it was pretty good, it’s so exciting.”

Shiffrin was at the Cordillera Mountain Course until evening while her first story showed a bright day. It almost felt like the season changed as the following stories showed a gloomy sky. Needless to say, she spent an entire day playing and having fun with her Norwegian alpine skier beau, Aleksander Aamodt Kilde. The duo was also joined by Taylor Shiffrin who playfully interrupted her story. Earlier this year, Shiffrin also shared a memory at the golf course on Mother’s Day.

She posted a series of adventures including from her time surfing. In the first photo her mother, Eileen, poses with a hockey stick. The girl sure got it from her mama as she continues to spend time by the golf course. The skier is over the cloud with her happy schedule as she mentions losing her voice post Taylor Swift’s concert. Since she had recently shared a similar experience, fans couldn’t help but speculate she had changed fields.

Skiing world crosses its fingers over legend’s visit records

Shiffrin tried her hands on golfing on 20 July, when she swung her ball like a beast, hitting the target. She documented her play in a video captioned, “Not my finest but not my worst….hehehe.” As the alpine skiing Queen continues to spend her time away from the ice, the thin ice beneath her fandom seems to be melting.

In a deja vu moment her die-hard fans recalled a similar instance that caused them to sweat. In 2015, Shiffrin’s passion for golf made headlines. She even describes her experience by quoting, “Not my greatest moment… I believe I’ll stick to skiing.” However, the little line of reassurance is out of the picture now. What do you think is going on here? A mere hobby or the rise of a golf Champion?
