“It Felt Good”: Just Like Simone Biles, Mikaela Shiffrin Overpowered Her Olympian Boyfriend in Skiing

Ace gymnast Simone Biles and her footballer fiance, Jonathan Owens, often cause a fascinating stir among their fans with their endearing dynamics. Whether it is just an impromptu weekend excursion or giving away each other challenging tasks, the couple always steals the show with their entertaining activities. For instance, Biles once defeated Owens in a gymnastics rope task and took all the social media brownie points through their fun sports banter. Well, just like Simone and Owens, the sporting universe has another power couple who, with their fascinating love language, keeps making a splash among their fans. The Alpine ski couple, Mikaela Shiffrin and Aleksander Kilde, often make it to the headlines because of their delightful praises and words of reverence for each other. 

And a few months back, the Norwegian racer took all the plaudits from his fans by talking highly about Mikaela’s skiing skills after she defeated him in a ski race.

In 2022, the couple made an appearance in an interview with an Austrian Sports channel, Servus TV on Sport. Mikaela and Kilde profoundly chatted about their relationship with the host. At one point, the host recalled one of Shiffrin’s quotes, “always be fast than the boys”, and asked her to elaborate more on it. On this, the Norwegian reminisced about a ski race in which Shiffrin defeated him through her fast ski racing prowess.

Kilde recalled their skiing match in Chile. He cited that during the match, Mikaela, “was going first, and I was going after her”. The 30-year-old then Kilde, praised her girlfriend’s skiing skills by asserting, “That’s good skiing”. Interestingly, the American skier defeated her boyfriend, as Kilde stated, “she beat me”.

Moreover, sharing her experience of the competition, Mikaela said, “It felt good for me”. And then, the couple engaged in a fun banter with each other while reminiscing about the challenges they often pose to each other.

Shiffrin and Kilde met seven years ago at the FIS Alpine Ski world cup. However, they did not start dating right after their first meeting. But, six years after they became acquainted, the skiers met again in 2021 and then bonded quickly. And in May 2021, the couple officially started to date. Also, they made their relationship status known to their fans through their social media handles.

And now, with their fascinating words of praise for each other, they keep stealing the hearts of millions.
