“I Would Love to Be a Mom”: Lindsey Vonn Once Opened Up on the Issue That’s Hindering Her Family Plans

Lindsey Vonn has always been in the headlines with her breathtaking skiing performances and personal life. However, she was once heard saying something strange about her dating life. During an ad for Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups in 2016, the American Alpine Ski Racer recounted what she thought was the actual problem regarding her love life.

Vonn, around 31 during this conversation, had an immensely successful career spanning over two decades. She’d bagged multiple medals in the inter Olympics, getting known to be one of the most successful skiing athletes in the world.

Vonn was open about wanting to settle into blissful family life but faced a particular problem- she could never find the perfect man! So, even though she was pretty single in 2016, she had difficulty getting a date.

Lindsey Vonn’s thoughts on family life

In an interview with CNN, Vonn opened up about her family plans. She

said, “ I would love to be a mom. I just don’t know … I kind of need a guy first,”. She added more on how dating was faring to be rough for her. “Most of the time the normal guys are too intimidated and the guys that have enough confidence, have too much confidence.” 

Vonn’s most famous relationship was with the golf legend, Tiger Woods. Woods is an American professional golfer, and the two dated for three years, from 2012 to 2015. Her dating life has been in the headlines ever since.

However, the skiing legend knew what exactly she wanted from her future partners. “I want someone that is self confident, but doesn’t have a huge ego. Someone who supports everything I do and doesn’t hold me back. Someone who encourages me to do what I want to do and what’s good for me and my skiing and my life.”

Lindsey Vonn needs her dad’s approval first

While talking about her ideal guy, Vonn also joked about how he’d need to win her father’s approval first. She recounted that out of her five siblings, she’s always been closest to her dad. “Getting along with my dad is the biggest challenge. Oh, and must be a dog lover. If not, it’s a no go.” Of course, sharing that the man must also have a thing for puppies.

Besides her social media handles, all this shows us how big of a home-body this star athlete and Olympian is.

What’s next for her?

2016 was quite a few years ago, and it goes without saying that this star has only gone higher up in all the measures. Since her world record in the 2010 Olympics, she has earned more medals, including the 2018 Winter Olympics, where she bagged a bronze medal. She’s also a very successful businesswoman and has collaborated with other celebrities like Dwyane “The Rock” Jhonson.
