The positive and ethical behavior of a coach can leave a big impact on a sports person’s life. Similarly, skiing legend Lindsey Vonn and her old coach have a very close relationship.

Generally, the first coach of a person, be it a teacher or sports coach or whoever, has a massive impact on the growth of the kid. And being a role model for a six-year-old girl is not easy. But Eric Sailer, coach of Vonn, lifted her confidence to glide smoothly on the snow.
A note from Lindsey Vonn to her coach
Recently, Lindsey met her first coach in Buck Hill Ski & Snowboard Area. Vonn shared a picture of her with Eric and penned an emotional caption for him.
Her caption reveals that Eric used to instruct her father as well. In the picture, Eric was looking content with his student. Vonn also said she wants to look like him after turning old.

Lindsey explained how much she respects him. She wrote, “Saw my old ski coach Eric Sailer yesterday. He’s 97 but still looks the same as when I was a kid! He had to get the right angle on the pic but it didn’t matter, he looks amazing! He also coached my father when he was a racer and he is still hitting the slopes! I hope I can look this good and still be skiing when I’m his age! Love you Eric.”

As per The Washington Post, Eric Sailer reveals Lindsey used to ski like a slow turtle in her first skiing event. On this, Vonn said her turtle phase ended fast because she had Eric as her mentor, who was there to help and train her.
The dazzling career of Vonn
Vonn, 17 years old in 2002, made her first Olympic debut in Salt Lake City. Vonn had an exceptional experience in skiing from 2002 to 2019, as she has around 82 victories in all-over competitions.

Lindsey got retired at the age of 32 from her career. Currently, Vonn is getting success with a brand. She is the face of ski equipment brand Yniq. She is in the complete mindset of a businesswoman. After her retirement, she also launched a book named ‘Rise.’
