American skiing legend Lindsey Vonn has led a remarkable career. However, each time something challenging came her way, she emerged as a true champion. More than victories and medals, Lindsey is an inspiration. An icon for the entire world to look up to.
Skiing legend Lindsey Vonn doesn’t feel she is great
Like any other human being, sometimes the Olympic champion also battles through self-doubts. In sports, someone better than you will eventually come, and even if you are the best at the moment, it’s certainly not permanent. “Whenever I won one thing I wanted to win the next. And it wasn’t that I set out to do all these things but I just kept wanting more and more and more and nothing was ever really good enough,” said Lindsey.
Though her hunger for wins was unlike any other skier, Lindsey remains humble about what she achieved. She further added, “I still feel like a failure at times. There’s always going to be a question because I didn’t break the record and I can’t say that I have the most win than anybody and without being able to say that I feel like I can’t really say I am the greatest.”

Acceptance is the key
Well, there will always be records to be broken, trophies to be won, and rankings to be topped. However, Lindsey is happy with what she has achieved in the sport and is proud of herself.
What Lindsey has contributed to skiing is unparalleled. Maybe future skiers might do better than her, might even break all her records. But the American skier will always be remembered as a legend in the sport.
