Red Bull Racing is gaining an influx of famous fans ahead of the 2023 Vegas Grand Prix. At first, it was skiing legend Lindsey Vonn. Vonn is known to have a taste for speed, to no one’s surprise. She excelled at speeding down a hill with just her skis to help her. Vonn went on the record as saying she would have loved to become an F1 racer.
Lindsey Vonn joined up with Red Bull Racing, the rival to her close friend Lewis Hamilton, who drives for Mercedes. Now, joining her in that corner is another skiing prodigy, 20-year-old Eileen Gu. Gu took to her social media handle to make the announcement.

Eileen Gu posted a series of images on Instagram to make it official. She is now a Red Bull-affiliated athlete. Gu captioned the images with the words, “Vegas F1 @redbull.” In between, she added the emoji featuring two hands shaking, indicating an agreement had been reached. She was seen wearing Red Bull attire, more often than not a hat with the Red Bull insignia on it. Gu indicated she is looking forward to the current edition of the Vegas Grand Prix. The endeavor is one more addition to different shades of Gu.

A millionaire, Eileen Gu, opted to represent the country of her mother’s birth, China, at international events. Gu has two gold medals and one silver to her name in the arena of freestyle skiing from the Beijing Olympics. She continues to set her chosen field alight apart from excelling as a student. Gu is also a part-time model. She also has aspirations of making it to Stanford. Red Bull will definitely be elated to welcome a sportsperson of this caliber to their family while also keeping an eye on their driver Max Verstappen, who is atop the F1 standings.

Can Max Verstappen add to his winning streak?
Max Verstappen began the race behind Charles Leclerc. He has 17 race wins to his name this season and has more than double the number of points secured by his nearest challenger. That is also a Red Bull Driver, Sergio Perez. Aside from the wins, he also has two other podium finishes. Given he began right behind Leclerc, the expectation will be that he adds to his wins tally.

Red Bull Racing have 19 race wins and 27 podium finishes to their credit. The Drivers’ and Constructors’ championships are theirs for the 2023 season. Verstappen has now won three Championships in a row, with Red Bull claiming the last two Constructors’ championships. It remains to be seen if they can maintain that stranglehold on both next season.
