How did Shiffrin and Kilde Meet?
According to the three-time Olympic champion, they met around seven years ago during a FIS Alpine Ski World Cup. About their first encounter, Shiffrin said, “I think he started the conversation by saying ‘Hi.’ He also sent the first friend request. He technically asked me on a date later that year, but I sort of denied him. I thought I was being cute, but he seems to have taken it as a rejection.”
Being in the same sport, they understand each other well and are always trying to push one another to become their best versions.
