The skiing world cup season is about to end and Mikaela Shiffrin is enjoying every second of it. She has already won her fourth overall crystal globe and now would look to finish the season on a high note. Though there is still a crystal globe on the table in the individual discipline which she might consider at the last race.
After the first run of today’s giant slalom in France, Mikaela is currently at the top of the proceedings by a massive 0.82-second lead. If all goes well in the second run as well, she will win yet another world cup race of the season.

Mikaela Shiffrin not thinking about the crystal globe
Even when an individual crystal globe is at the table, Mikaela’s mind is not fixated upon the reward. For her, it’s about enjoying the experience of being at the world cups and cherishing each moment that comes her way. After the finish of run one, she said, “I’m not thinking about the globe. I felt good the first run just focusing on the skiing.”
“I’m not thinking about the globe. I felt good the first run just focusing on the skiing. Whatever happens with the day, I can be happy because that skiing felt good. It’s been quite a long time since I actually skied like that in a GS…maybe since Courchevel.”—@MikaelaShiffrin🌟 pic.twitter.com/2kIiLipauY
