Once, Tony Hawk revealed an interesting detail about his mother, who lived to the ripe old age of 95. He was motivated by his mother’s lifestyle, which was focused on staying fit.

Not an Olympian, but a pretty disciplined as one
Tony Hawk’s mother, Nancy Hawk, passed away at the age of 95. Before she lost her battle with Alzheimer’s, she was a great athlete. She wasn’t exactly a sports person, but an ardent swimmer. Tony Hawk appeared in one of the episodes of the renowned podcast Joe Rogan Experience two years ago and talked about his late mother.

“I don’t do anything else. I do make an effort to like swim some laps because my mom lived till her 90s and she swore by swimming. She would go you know through I mean I remember all as a kid she would definitely she had to get her 20 laps in every day and we are uh where I live the residential area had a community swimming pool that was like Olympic sized so,” Tony said to Joe Rogan. He recalled how his mother was pretty much into swimming. She was committed and disciplined in her efforts. She never missed her daily 20 laps in the swimming pool.

Tony Hawk always admires his parents because of everything they have done for him. They were disciplining as well as teaching Tony how to be a successful person in life, and the rest is history.

Tony always thanked his parents for all of his achievements in his professional career. He was raised by both of his parents, Frank Hawk and Nancy Hawk. Frank had a military background and played a huge role in Tony’s success, as he was very supportive of his son’s career.
Frank always supported Tony on his journey to becoming the best skateboarder, which was rare during that time. Frank’s father wasn’t supportive during his childhood, so he didn’t want to reflect the same thing on his kids. After Tony’s father passed away, his mother Nancy made sure that Tony never faced any issues while following his passion.
